Content marketing is a critical component of today's
marketing toolbox, but many marketers don't know how to do it, so they get it
wrong. Here are three simple tips to make your content marketing much more
useful and effective.
1) Don't post too much or too often. The purpose of content
marketing is to inform and educate, not overwhelm.
2) Post content that provides relevant information about how
your product or service provides value to the customer, not just about features
and functions.
3) Don't try to sell your product or service via your
content, that is not your focus. Let sales do their job and you do yours.
By following these three simple tips, your content marketing
will become much more impactful and useful. Remember, the intent of content marketing
is to provide useful, relevant information that will help inform your customers
and move them through the sales cycle.
